Sophie
Sophie

Sophie came into rescue as a stray. She was very timid, but as soon as you spent any time with her, you could tell she just wanted to be loved. In the spring of 2007, a wonderful couple from Millsboro, DE, contacted Mastiff Hope wanting to give Sophie a home. In May, a Mastiff Hope volunteer drove Sophie to meet the Taylor’s in Indianapolis and the rest is history! Sophie has adapted very well. She gets along quite well with the Taylor’s other dog and cat. Sophie weighs in at about 140 pounds and she insisits on being a lap dog and a couch potato. She is still a little skittish of strangers but with a little patience she will make friends with anyone. She is quite playful and a joy to watch when she romps in the yard.

Sadie
Sadie

Sadie came into rescue because her family was moving and didn’t want to take her with them. When she arrived in her foster home, she had severe arthritis, and had a hard time getting up. After some great supplements and lots of love, she was up and around and loving everyone. After almost three years of searching for the perfect family, Sadie and Jessie found each other, and Sadie finally got to go to her ‘forever’ home! She now lives with her Rottweiler sister Sophie, and together they keep Jessie constantly amazed and amused!

Madison
Madison

Madison came into rescue severely underweight and suffering from a digestive disorder that had left her virtually crippled from lack of good nutrition. After several months of good food, good exercise, and extremely good veterinary care (both holistic and traditional), Madison went to her new ‘forever’ home with Leslie and Steve, and now enjoys playing at home with her other dog pals, as well as visiting patients with Leslie on her nursing rounds! This is one ‘patient’ who definitely likes to ‘pay it forward’!!!

Sam
Sam

Sam was turned over to Rescue because his owners didn’t want to treat his severe allergies. When he came to us, he had little hair and was severely underweight. Upon arrival in his foster home, his allergy problems were immediately addressed, and we’re happy to say that his wonderful disposition endeared him to his foster mom & dad, who couldn’t resist adopting him. Today, he is happy, healthy, goofy boy who hasn’t a care in the world except for when he’s going to get his next treat!

Duchess
Duchess

Duchess and Violet came into rescue at completely separate times, from different backgrounds, but were both able to share in the same wonderful ‘forever’ home. Duchess had been a long-timer in rescue when Janis and Tom decided that she was the dog for them. A year or so later, Violet’s adoptive parents both passed on, and their family asked Mastiff Hope to find her another good home - again, Janis and Tom came through! Wonderful people, wonderful dogs!
