Bueford
I saw my first mastiff when I was 10 at the Renaissance Festival and I was hooked. I was finally able to get my first mastiff when I was in my 20's and I knew from that moment on I would always be blessed with their presence. About 3 years ago I lost my first mastiff Maggie. She was such a sweet wonderful dog. I knew that I wanted to get another dog and I have always known how many homeless dogs there were out there so I contacted Mastiff Hope. Becky and her husband Dave were so helpful and we made an instant connection with our love of this breed. They found me a big apricot ball of energy named Millie and she instantly made her way into our home. She definitely thinks she is queen bee around here. After my other mastiff Judge passed away I again contacted Becky....and she found me a gawky brindle male named Moose who was 8 months old. I have a special place in my heart for brindles and I was so excited to have Moose come to live with us. Although he is my youngest (just turned 3 this month) he is like my old man.....he is so calm and gentle. My 3 year old daughter loves to curl up in his stomach to watch movies. I love rescue and I love the fact that it helps out our wonderful breed so I wanted to do more to help out. I did some work making phone calls and helped with paperwork and one day Becky contacted me asking if I would be interested in fostering. At first I was unsure if I would be able to have a dog in my home and let it go when they found it a good home but, I decided to try. I realized that I wasn't so great at fostering... :) I was able to let the first dog go to his new home...but, shortly after Bueford was needing a foster home he came to live with us. Almost instantly I knew that he wasn't really going anywhere. He has the most gorgeous eyes and he just looks at you so intently and with such love. So needless to say Bueford also found his forever home here as well. Most people think I am crazy and I get the best looks walking all 3 of them through our neighborhood esp. when my daughter is helping me. I am so thankful to Becky and all the people who help with rescue...its a very hard and tiring job but, in the end it does so much for this wonderful breed. Robyn, Lola, Moose Milile and Bueford
